KA-BAR model 1278 HEAVY DUTY WARTHOG offers an oval shaped non-slip thermoplastic resin handle for excellent hand control during use even in wet environments often associated with camping or bush craft uses.
The WARTHOG features an epoxy powder coated, high carbon (1085) steel full tang blade with a [HRC 52-54] hardness rating.
The full 6 3/4″ blade has been flat ground sharpened to a 20-degree cutting edge grind with buff polished edges.
The handle provides a front & rear slippage guard and has a riveted wrist lanyard hole for added safety to secure the Warthog while on the move.
Knife is proudly etched with the KA-BAR brand name.
The knife’s overall length is 12 1/4″ and comes in a non-reflective all black finish.
This model comes with a KA-BAR / heavy duty black leather / Cordura combination sheath with double retention straps.
