The 1317 was designed to surpass the most famous fixed blade knife in the world-“the KA-BAR“- that was designed to serve our troops during World War II as their main fighting utility knife.

 

The quality materials used and the classic construction-stacked leather handle, front and rear finger guard with lanyard hole, and pinned on butt cap-is what makes this knife one of the best all-purpose knives.

 

The epoxy powder coated, high carbon steel (1095) full tang blade has a [HRC 56-58] steel hardness rating.

 

The 7″ blade is flat ground to a 20-degree edge angle with buff polished edges for better edge retention.

 

Knife is made exclusively in Olean, New York, U.S.A. and proudly stamped with KA-BAR & Dog’s Head trademark.

 

Knife comes with a quality brown leather sheath embossed with the famous and collectable Dog’ Head logo.

 

Sheath is heavy duty stitched and riveted to maintain long lasting durability.
