A Becker is a Becker
To totally understand Becker knives, you have to first understand the designer. The designer is Ethan Becker of Becker Knife & Tools.
Ethan has probably spent more time in the woods, streams, and hills of this nation than most of us.
Through his experiences his mind set has always been what knife or tool would make his outdoor task easier or more efficient, from camp cooking to wilderness survival.
The end goal was to design and make knives and tools that worked and worked well. He designed rugged knives that would stand the test of time and use and still function.
So many knife makers now are styling fancy knives with flashy blades and handles with little practical use other than eye candy. If you are the type of person who wants to have a glamor knife sitting on a shelf that you’re afraid to use then I would not suggest a Becker knife for you.
Becker knives have been tested by the best in just about every conceivable fashion that one could imagine and have passed in all aspects.
Ethan’s knives are designed and built for use, cutting, prying, baton usage, edge retention, comfort and stabilization.
If your interests are more designed around the idea of spending time and activities outdoors then I would highly recommend the Becker knife line.
There was an old quote that my father used to tell me as I was growing up “For every good job you need a good tool” and it has not steered me wrong yet.
